The Root Gate

A once-only ritual for ancestral support, release and what is most needed now. 

Sweetheart, I found a place.
This is not like the others.
You don’t need to understand it. You just need to say yes if you feel called.

I was not looking for a new ritual place when I found this tree. But some places call. In an old forest by the coast, close to ancient burial mounds, there is a tree where the roots open into the earth like a gate. I stopped when I saw it, because I could feel immediately that this was not just a beautiful place. It was a working place. And it’s a place that listens.

I know what I felt. I know why I’m going back.

It is believed that every human being carries more than their own life. We carry memory and blood and other things passed down to us by those who came before, even when we do not know their names. In our modern lives, this connection often becomes muted. We feel alone, separate, as if we are standing only on our own two feet. But this is not the whole truth. Behind every living person there is a line. Known and unknown. Loved and forgotten. And sometimes, the old ones need to be called to stand closer.

The Root Gate Ritual opens this deeper line of support. This is not a spell for love, money or success. This is not a ritual where you need to write me a long wish. It is a rite of ancestral support, release, protection and alignment, where I bring your name to the Root Gate and ask that you are met. 

Through this ritual, I will ask the old powers, the spirits of the land, the earth beneath the roots and the wise and loving forces of your line to see you, strengthen you and stand behind you. I will ask for old burdens to loosen, for inherited heaviness to begin releasing, for protection to gather around you, and for the parts of you that remember your own strength to wake again.

This is for those who feel that something old is moving beneath their life.
A pattern that keeps repeating.
A grief that does not feel entirely yours.
A sense of being watched over, but not yet reached.
A longing for guidance.
A need for protection.
A feeling that there is something behind you, but it has not fully stepped forward.

The tree itself feels like a gate into the earth. The energy there is old, deep. It’s not frightening, but powerful. Because this place is in an old coastal forest, close to ancient burial mounds, it also has the feeling of a threshold. Life and death. Above and below. The living and the ones who came before. This is why I will only use this place once for this kind of ritual.

This ritual can also open the way for ancestor guidance or contact, but this is important: I do not promise that one specific deceased person will come through. I do not force the dead to speak, and I do not command a particular ancestor to appear. That is not how I work.

But when a ritual like this is done, doors can open. Some may receive dreams. Some may notice signs. Some may suddenly know something they did not know before. For others, the work may felt in other ways. A calmness for example. 

The heart of this work is not control. It is not summoning. It is not forcing the dead to answer.
I bring your name to the Root Gate and ask that what is wise, loving, protective and strong in your line may move closer. I ask that what is not yours to carry may begin to loosen. I ask that the old powers see you, and that you are given what you need now.
